Walmart open call to have Instatrim sold in stores

InstaTrim is Coming to Select Walmart Stores

InstaTrim is coming to a store near you! This past October we were given the chance to meet with a Walmart buyer during their annual Open Call event. From that meeting, we were awarded the opportunity to sell InstaTrim Flexible Trim Products in selected stores in the US.

What is an Open Call?

Every year, Walmart invites small to medium-sized businesses to apply for a chance to meet with a buyer and discuss why their products should be sold in Walmart stores. This idea was born out of their 2013 commitment to help boost job creation and US manufacturing by buying $250 billion in USA made products by 2023. This year, out of more than 4,800 applicants, 850 entrepreneurs were invited to attend Walmart’s first ever virtual Open Call for U.S. manufacturers. InstaTrim, Flexible Trim Solution was one of 175 small businesses invited to begin adding our product to store shelves in the U.S.

We have been selling our flexible trim molding online with Walmart since 2017. The opportunity to get our InstaTrim flexible trim products on Walmart store shelves is an exciting opportunity for us. If our in-store sales are successful in Aoril of 2021, we will expand into more stores across the US and get InstaTrim into the hands of our customers faster. We have received a number phone calls this year from consumers asking where they can pick up InstaTrim self-adhesive trim strips in-store instead of ordering online because they don’t want to wait for shipping. It's exciting for us that consumers are looking for our products in Walmart stores because they don’t want to wait for shipping.

Yes, we all know that 2020 was a very challenging year with a lot of changes to everyday life. With extra time spent at home we are seeing a lot of people taking advantage of this opportunity to spruce up their living spaces and completing their DIY projects around the home. Consumers are using our InstaTrim mess-free caulk and trim replacement to quickly and easily finish various DIY projects all over their homes including:

  • Covering uneven paint lines on wall and ceiling corners
  • Replacing loose and missing grout along a countertop or backsplash
  • Keeping bathrooms sanitary by applying InstaTrim to the base of a toilet to keep all the nasty stuff from collecting there
  • Hiding the uneven edges around a self-installed floating floor that wasn’t cut exactly right
  • And so much more!

Stay tuned, we’ll keep you updated on which states will be carrying InstaTrim in-store this coming April.
